Enabling a pan-Nordic organization based on SAP HR

Leading companies organize their teams and organizations
on a pan-Nordic or cross border basis. Drivers for this are customer orientation, cost focus or the need for utilizing scarce talent optimally, and/or enabling the sharing of best practice across the traditional country organization.

This operating model is being used by small and large players ranging from companies as Goodyear with a Nordic presence of approximately 150 employees to Nordea with 30’000 employees.

A number of challenges must be overcome to make it work in practice and not only in theory.

One of the key challenges is; how to to manage and lead such a physical disbursed and culturally different team on a daily basis.

Another challange is; “simple” practical manners, like approving travel expenses, flex time arrangements, personnel development and documenting performance appraisals.

The ability to handle such cross-border complexity in a standardized and harmonized manner is one of the key advantages in implementing SAP HR with web based Employee and Manager Self Service.

I will discuss the benefits and challenges exemplified with client cases gained from implementing a number of such pan-Nordic SAP HR based solutions throughout the last six years.

Det är inte en fråga om övervakning i samhället, det är en fråga om vanliga IT lösningar. I Japan har man varit duktig på att skapa många nya tjänsteområden med hjälp av mobiltelefonen, man kan betala, identifiera sig för nyttiga tjänster, köpa biljetter eller få väganvisningar när man är vilse.

Att man skapar bekväm användning av mobilen till något mer än enbart samtal är motiverat och nyttigt.

Det finns en avvägning att göra mellan användande av teknik, analysverktyg och den personliga integriteten.

State-of-the-art customer service infrastructure

In search for continuous improvement of the IT/IS service delivery, and leveraging state-of-the-art solutions, Hydro IS Partner is running a program that will thoroughly re-shape its support infrastructure.
