About Adfahrer

We are since 1998 dedicated to and continuously working with the creation and administration of User Groups and conferences.

Eva-Maria Fahrer saw the need for a good and qualitative experience exchange between people in 1990 when she got involved in the Swedish SAP User Group. She later became member of the board and as she started Adfahrer, she left the position as chairman. Adfahrer was started in 1998 to focus on experience exchange in the area of large IT systems. This is an area were there is a high potential for large company savings coming from the exchange of good ideas and knowledge between people.

The goal was and still is to help people and companies to get higher return on their investments from their IT systems.

To help people and companies to get higher return on their investments from their IT systems is an advanced task which requires advanced IT experience, deep experience in relations ship management and a good sense of humor. Communities, User Groups and Special Interest Groups have to be supported and pushed in a friendly way were also personal integrity is very important for a success final result.

There must always be a high quality focus to be able to grow communities. The Adfahrer staff is dedicated, have many different areas of competence and work hard to archive the goal.

 

Timeline

1990
The Swedish SAP User Group was created
1993
The company which was to evolve into Adfahre AB started.
1996-1997
Eva-Maria Fahrer was chairman of the Swedish SAP User Group
1998
Eva-Maria Fahrer became a part-time consult and a professional experience exchange enthusiast. The foundation to the current Adfahrer AB was created. The first Swedish User Group magazine was created and distributed. The number of members increased to 55 companies and 15 activities were planned.
1999
The number of members increased to 77 Swedish companies. 37 meeting activities were planned
2000
The professional agreement with SAP Svenska Användarföreningen (SAPSA) was signed. An agreement was signed with SAP Brukergruppe Norge (SBN) and Adfahrer started up it's Norwegian department
2001
The Adfahrer administrated user group activities increase. By Sapsa member request seminars were also planned in Göteborg, Malmö. In total more than 50 activities were planned. The SBN activities were also widely spread in the Norway. Sapsa has 150 member companies and SBN 30.
2003
Adfahrer becomes one of the first Swedish customer buying and implementing SAP Business One. The new system is used for the customer database, sales support, sales orders, invoicing and accounts receivable and is since 2006 through extensive development completely integrated into our User Group web functionality.
 
The foundation for the technical solution behind our User Groups were created and offered to new potential User Group customers. A standardized User Group package is created and offered as a fixed price solution. A service for continued operation was also created.

StreamServe signs the first agreement about buying a package solution. Adfahrer receives the assignment to start and run Stream Serves Nordic User Group. The mission is to create an independent User Group consisting of selected customers and partners. Sapsa has almost 160 member companies and SBN 40.
2004
In January the first agreement about running the StreamServe User Group is signed by the StreamServe User Group committee and StremServe. The Sapsa user group is handed over to the board of Sapsa. Adfahrer starts an Adfahrer administrated SAP User Group with 40 members. SBN grows to 45 and Adsig has 30 members .
2005
Adfahrer insources operation and maintenance of it's IT infrastructure. An important step for the new web based User Group functionality. SBN has 50, Adsig 30 and Surg has 20 members.
2006
An agreement is signed with SAS Institute for a new User Group called FANS. A package User Group solution including web, newsletters and drafts for records, constitutions, agreements and more. Surg is handed over to Stream Serve. SBN has 60, Adsig 30 and FANS 20 members.
2007
Adfahrer signs a SAP Education Partner agreement
A new SAP demo system (ides) is installed to be used during the new SAP End User Education. The first SAP End User Education is performed on the theme Accounts Payable. Fans is handed over to SAS institute. SBN has 60, Adsig 30 members.
2008
A new backend integrated user group homepage was implemented to reduce administrative workload. The page has many innovative solutions and the development has had a great ROI. Recorded webinars were first time published on the web. SBN has 70 and Adsig 20 members.
2009
A new databased web conference tools i developed and implemented. This tool will reduce administrative workload in administration of the conferences in 2010. Movies from the conference presentations were recorded and put on the web. SBN has 80 and Adsig 21 members.
2010
The complete IT platform is renewed which opens new possibilities for the user groups system development. Based on the ideas from the development of 2008 a new developed backend integrated user group homepage is developed. The new "version" is developed to take advantage of some of the possibilities in the new platform. We look forward better functionality for films, pictures and to re-use web material, avoid double updates and to reduce administrative workload.

The number of members in the Adfahrer administrated SBN user group has passed 100.
