Get your processes aligned – Make sure they match your operation
A large number of companies leave their business processes after the implementation untouched. But how can they be sure that the processes still match with operation? No doubt is it essential to have processes more aligned than ever to get access to the mobility age, perhaps in conjunction with in-memory computing. Or, as an alternative, to ultimately create a process repository based on the “footprints” left in the system over a period of time to identifying deviations and thereof improvements in addition.

Success factors for a Business Intelligence project / Data warehouse
Experience from
Norwegian Air Shuttle.
The starting point used in this presentation is a very successful Business Intelligence solution (Norwegian Air Shuttle). The business has been the drivers for the solution and it has become very successful. At Norwegian the business and the IT do cooperate for a deep understanding of the data and they in common found a good decision making base, based on facts in the Business Intelligence Solution.
The solution is used in many parts of the business, the usage and number of users is increasing as part of the companies BI strategy. As example the data warehouse is used for analysis of customers habits for travel, marketing campaigns, sustainability reports like CO2 reporting, flight maintenance, staffing and sales reporting. The presentation will give you examples of ‘How to’ as well as hints which can be used for your business, all based on how Norwegian has got as far as they are today and the long experience of Business intelligence Solutions which Thorstein Thorsen bWise has.
Based on Torstein Thorsens long expereince we will get a short introduction based on business benfits to Business Intelligence/Analytics and
an short explanation of what Hana is and how it can be used.

Shorten your projects - the tools are there – but you have to use them…and your stubborn brain!
We talk about Agile development. Often meaning flexible, but could also mean a never ending story with chaotic order. If you want flexibility you need to have inflexible plans. Only with a rigid planning you can divert from the plan, because you will find your way back to the plan. Rigid plans with rigid goals. In chewable chunks. That’s what’s it gonna take!
Since we here are focusing on SAP, most projects are upgrade projects or add-ons like a CRM-part onto the ERP. By that sometimes planning is not that rigid, because “we’ve done it before”. This is dangerous! Add-on projects are the most difficult ones, just because you take things for granted. You take people, processes and performance for granted! Don’t!!
SAP has several tools for rapid deployment and shortened projects, we will look into some of them. The infrastructure-department has several tools for test-environments, we will look into some. The essentials of this topic is that to be agile and successful, YOU have to be rigid! Once again it’s about people. But what kind of people?! Come to see how it shall be done!
How rigid you are, foremost in the preparation-phase, will be the measurement of the success of your project!
